Brazilian Central Bank (BACEN) is performing the Annual Census of Foreign Capital in Brazil, which will be mandatory as follows:
- for entities domiciled in Brazil that, on December 31, 2022, had net worth equal to or greater than USD 100 million, and, simultaneously, had direct foreigner residents as shareholders in their capital stock; or
- for investment funds whose investors are non-resident in Brazil and, on December 31, 2022, had net worth equal to or greater than USD 100 million.
The Census declaration is no longer mandatory for entities domiciled in Brazil that had debts with foreigner creditors in short-term commercial credits (up to 360 days).
Our Corporate team is at your disposal to assist you in fulfilling this obligation before BACEN. The term for such obligation is from July 03, 2023 to August 15, 2023, until 6pm.
