Brazilian Central Bank (BACEN) is performing the Annual Census of Foreign Capital in Brazil, which will be mandatory as follows:
a. for entities domiciled in Brazil that, on December 31, 2019, had net worth equal to or greater than USD 100 million, and, simultaneously, had direct foreigner residents as shareholders in their capital stock;
b. for entities domiciled in Brazil that, on December 31, 2019, had debts with foreigner creditors in short-term commercial credits (up to 360 days) equal to or greater than USD 10 million; or
c. for investment funds whose investors are non-resident in Brazil and, on December 31, 2019, had net worth equal to or greater than USD 100 million.
Our Corporate team can assist you in fulfilling this obligation before BACEN. The deadline for such obligation is August 17, 2020.
