Sweden’s Husqvarna buys Brazilian agritech business

Swedish outdoor power equipment manufacturer Husqvarna has hired Veirano Advogados to acquire Brazilian agricultural technology company InCeres.

L O Baptista Advogados acted for InCeres. The acquisition, the value of which remains confidential, was signed on 20 August.

Upon the deal’s completion, Husqvarna will incorporate 35-employee-strong InCeres in its forest and garden division.

InCeres specialises in soil analysis with the aim of facilitating decision-making and improving productivity for farmers.

The company, which was founded in 2014, is based in the city of Piracicaba, state of São Paulo.

The origin of Stockholm-headquartered Husqvarna dates back to the late 1600s. It is listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm stock exchange and recorded sales of US$5.3 billion in 2023.
